Transplant Research Network
About the American Society of Transplantation
The American Society of Transplantation (AST), the scientific partner to Power2Save, is a 501 c(3) organization of more than 3,500 professionals dedicated to advancing the field of transplantation and improving organ recipient care by promoting research, education, advocacy and organ donation. AST established Power2Save to create awareness about the need for transplantation research. Funding from Power2Save is directed to the Transplantation & Immunology Research Network (TIRN) as the mechanism through which research is conducted. Over the past decade, AST has supported more than 175 medical research grants with $10 million in funding.

About Power2Save
Power2Save was developed by the AST to increase public awareness around the importance of funding transplant research, advocating for patient health, and donating organs. Power2Save is the voice and community for transplant recipients, donors and donor families, and anyone interested in supporting transplantation. Power2Save strives to raise funds for medical research to maximize the life and function of the organ and create a healthier life for the recipient after receiving a transplant.
About AST Research Network
The AST Research Network (ASTRN) is the mechanism for allocating Power2Save’s funding to the most innovative research in transplantation and immunology. ASTRN includes hundreds of physicians and scientists who have dedicated their lives to advancing the research necessary to improve and save lives.
