Welcome to the AST Caregiver Toolkit!
This toolkit is designed for people caring for organ transplant patients before, during, and after transplant. It is intended to add to the general information you may have received from your transplant center.
The toolkit offers a comprehensive overview of transplant caregiving. It covers essential topics for caregivers, such as their responsibilities, legal and financial considerations, self-care and quality of life, and organ-specific information.
We invite you to read the areas of interest to you. Your transplant team can help answer any questions and may print specific chapters of relevance to you.
This toolkit was developed by transplant professionals led by the Psychosocial and Ethics Community of Practice (PSECOP) and approved by the American Society of Transplantation.
