A PowerPlayer is anyone who supports the life-saving cause of organ donation and transplantation, from the patients who receive transplants to the donors and their families who make those transplants possible, to those who donate and create fundraisers for research. They serve to remind us that we all have the Power2Save.
Our latest, Power Player, Nai Azzi, is learning to fundraise at a young age. Her father, Jamil Azzi, is an active member of the American Society of Transplantation (AST), but the volunteer work for the society has turned into a family effort.
Nai recently took the time to organize a lemonade stand, offering free, homemade lemonade. She requested donations to the AST and raised $130 for the organization! Every dollar counts when it comes to raising funds for research. Nai’s hard work has brought us one step closer to advancing the field of transplantation so one transplant for life can be a reality.
Well done, Nai!
