Celebrating Life at the Donor Dash

April 22, 2015

Members of the American Society of Transplantation (AST) and the American Transplant Congress (ATC) staff participated in the Gift of Life’s 20th Annual Donor Dash on Sunday, April 19, 2015.

Thousands gathered in front of the Philadelphia Art Museum to participate in the day’s events: a 10k run, 5k run, Kids fun run, and 3k walk. Proceeds from all of the events will go toward raising awareness about the need for organ and tissue donation, highlighting transplantation successes, and supporting public awareness campaigns. Additionally, funds from the Donor Dash will support the Gift of Life Family House – a hospitality house for transplant patients and their families.

April is National Donate Life Month, and AST and ATC staff know the importance of organ donation and transplantation.

Please visit www.donors1.org for more information, or to become an organ donor.
